Buying, selling or transferring a membership
To become a full member of Munjarra Ski Club, you need to purchase an existing member’s shareholding. Memberships are privately sold, with the price agreed between the buyer and seller. All transfers are subject to the Club’s approval and rules.
The Club maintains a waiting list of prospective buyers. Only a small number of memberships become available each year, so joining can take several years.
Selling or transferring your membership
Members wishing to sell or transfer their membership should first contact the Membership Director at [email protected].
For a sale, the Club can notify prospective buyers on its waiting list. The seller and buyer agree the sale price directly.
Once a buyer has been found, the Membership Director will explain the required documents, applicable transfer fee and approval process.
Transfer Documents and Share Certificates
The seller and buyer must complete and sign the share transfer form and return it to the Membership Director.
The original share certificate must also be returned for cancellation. A scanned copy can be emailed initially, and the Membership Director will advise where to send the original.
If the certificate has been lost, the seller must complete the Club’s statutory declaration, have it witnessed as required, and return it to the Membership Director.
Join the membership waiting list
To join the waiting list, email [email protected] with your full name, phone number and email address. The Membership Director will explain the process and let you know how you will be notified when memberships become available.
Completing the transfer
Once the buyer and seller have agreed on a sale, they should contact the Membership Director before finalising the transfer.
All outstanding subscriptions, fees and other amounts owed to the Club by the seller must be paid before the transfer can be completed. A transfer fee of $250 is also payable to the Club.
The Club will review the completed documents and arrange approval, update its share register and issue the new share certificate. Payment between the buyer and seller does not itself complete the membership transfer.
