Associate & Senior Associate Membership
Senior Associate Members (SAM)
Senior Associate Membership allows eligible members to transfer their full membership to a qualifying family member while continuing to enjoy the Club’s accommodation benefits.
The family member becomes the full member and shareholder. The transferring member becomes a Senior Associate Member, with no shares or voting rights.
The eligibility requirements and benefits are set out below.
- Applicants must be aged 55 or older and have held full membership for at least 15 years.
- The full membership may be transferred to a son, daughter, grandchild or sibling.
- Senior Associate Members and their spouses retain members’ booking privileges and accommodation rates, subject to the Club’s booking conditions.
- Senior Associate Membership cannot be transferred. If a Senior Associate Member dies, their spouse may continue using the Club’s facilities at Senior Associate rates.
- Senior Associate Members receive the same accommodation rebate as full members, where applicable.
- Children who are Associate Members and do not receive the transferred full membership may retain their Associate Membership, subject to the Associate Membership rules.
- Senior Associate Members have no voting rights and cannot hold a position on the Board.
- Senior Associate Membership ends if the person who received the full membership sells their shares or their membership is terminated.
Associate Members
Associate Membership allows eligible adult children of members to continue enjoying Munjarra with their own membership and booking access.
- Eligible children of members aged 18 to 29 may apply for Associate Membership.
- Each applicant applies separately. Their parent’s full membership and shares remain unchanged.
- Associate Members pay an annual subscription. The 2027 subscription will be published once determined.
- Associate Members receive member accommodation rates. A spouse, partner or friend sharing the same room may also receive member rates, subject to the Club’s booking conditions.
- Associate Membership cannot be transferred.
- Accommodation rebates apply where the relevant booking conditions are met.
- Associate Members have no voting rights and cannot hold a position on the Board.
- Associates approaching age 30 should contact the Membership Director to discuss their membership arrangements. Full membership is subject to availability and the Club’s transfer and approval process.
